The development of this solar farm cannot be considered in isolation from the other proposed development in this area. The size of this planned development alone will totally change what is now a rural area into an industrial area. This can only have a detrimental effect on local people and the wildlife that currently inhabits the area. The conversion of land currently used for agriculture to a solar farm reduces land available for food production at a time when food security is becoming more and more essential. There are other options for the creation of solar farms such as brown field sites. It is not possible to create new agricultural land for food production.
