The Gate burton proposal means that 3,500 acres of farmland will be lost and 10,000 acres in total with the 4 proposed sites. They should be assessed together and not individually due to the impact they will have on our area in Lincolnshire. Solar panels on farmland is not the best place for them and we should not be losing food producing land at this rate. The proposed Solar and Energy storage park will not blend into the landscape where there is a beautiful stately home, Gate Burton Hall and a heritage village, Gate Burton. A large BESS should be located close to the grid connection on a brownfield site and NOT on farmland. Solar development is an inefficient use of land and is best placed on commerical and domestic roofs where it will directly reduce bills. I am very concerned abou the back door method of applying for 4 proposals, trying to have the solar farms assessed individually when clearly it is a massive 10,000 acre industrialisation of our farming land in the same area of Lincolnshire.
