I am against the use of prime agricultural land for solar farms. With the UK facing shortages, we need to use the land to produce food. There are other sources of renewable energy which have less impact on the land. There are acres of roof surfaces all over the country where solar panels could be fixed and which will not affect land use. Also, if solar energy is the be all and end all, which I would challenge, why haven't solar panels been incorporated in all the new build development that is going on in every town and village it would appear?
