This scheme is one of four to be considered as National Infrastructure projects. The four plans should be considered together. They will account for thousands of acres of agricultural land, and stop it from being used to grow food. This has issues around food security. They will also take 7000 acres of land out of use as habitat. The Brown Hare inhabits this area. It has suffered a 41% decrease in numbers in recent times, and is a priority species. This scheme will destroy the open ground which the hare needs as habitat. The ground will no longer be available to agriculture, and it will never be returned. It will decimate the agricultural Industry in this area. The value of the solar installation will be negligible due to its inherent inefficiency.
