I would like to express my dismay and absolute horror at the proposed solar park complex at Gate Burton, a total 3500 acres taken out of farm production creating industrialisation of the countryside, I do not feel that putting solar panels on farmland is in the best interest of anyone as food production and sustainability for feeding the population of this country is paramount in my book. Any huge scale structure of this size in the countryside is going to dominate the view and not blend in at all and be highly visible from country lanes and property's, it will impact on the accessibility for people to walk and enjoy the wildlife and their habitats. The developers would be better putting their efforts into the possibility of using the huge industrial buildings roofs, new housing estates roofs and brown field sites to put the solar panels on not destroy the beautiful heritage village of gateburton. I don't feel we are being communicated with in a honest and open manner as to the huge disruption and eyesore this project will produce in our countryside.
