It is true there is a climate emergency but we as a country within the U.K. and within the worldwide climate emergency can do our part by protecting the greenbelt, ancient woodlands and best and most versatile land. Many projects for renewables backed by U.K. developers with European investors are ignoring/disregarding the importance and protection of our valuable land for their own financial gains and often managing to navigate the U.K. planning laws at local and National levels with the words temporary / Climate emergency and biodeversity. A 40 year development is not temporary. It is a choice of the developer that after 40 years they may remove it but solar developments are not proven to be temporary. We have power and do not need solar on land other than brownfield or rooftops
