This is an important access road to the river Trent for public, farming and private use and is used for recreation such as walking and horse riding (there are becoming fewer safe roads for this activity to take place, take Cottam for example, the biggest number of vehicles going through this tiny village are HGV’s, only a few drive to the conditions of the road - it will not be long until someone is killed by these trucks). This will be another part of the development that encroaches on wildlife. The area is great for bird and wildlife watching with hedgerows, woodland and badger setts all providing safe habitats for these animals (especially when the area floods). This further highlights the Developers unprofessional approach to the planning process and regard to rural communities ie there is a complete lack of regard to the local communities and the impact on us (environmentally, health (physical and mental), local farming for the United Kingdom).
