I object to the increase in the Order Limits to the Gate Burton Scheme and the need for further Compulsory Acquisition. The elements of the scheme which are to be changed (which constitute the need for CA Rights) are fundamental design aspects of the project. They relate to the grid connection point. It seems unfathomable that the Applicant has not worked out this detail in the first instance of the design process. Also, the requirements of EDF and Bassetlaw District Council to develop and regenerate the area are well known. This is not new information to the Applicant and so cannot be used as a reason for re-designing the scheme at this late stage and so submitting this Change Request and requiring further Compulsory Acquisition Rights. Torksey Ferry Road is a ByWay and PRoW. It is well used by residents and enjoyed by bird watchers and naturalists. There are badger setts and other wildlife habitats. I regularly visit the area to meet friends and walk dogs along the lane. My friend, who is a resident in the area, rides horses along the Torksey Ferry Road. The road is a local asset for all to enjoy. The construction and operation of the Gate Burton Scheme along Torksey Ferry Lane, constitutes further infringement onto residents way of life in this rural area. Residents hobbies are often countryside rural pursuits and so to propose the removal of this local asset from people's lives in the area is detrimental to the mental health and well-being and also may infringe their human rights.
