The land that these developers want to use to build these solar arrays should be being used for farming and/or growing food. The population of our small island is growing day on day, and we need the food that these fields could provide. The price per unit for electricity is subsidised by the tax payer, and the profits generated will be creamed of by the shareholders. How can that be good for the local community. We will have to look at these solar panels for however long these companies decide to keep them operational. But the developers who are going to ruin our living environment by putting hundreds of solar panels in our back yard will probably never see the damage that they are causing to our local environment. The countryside is a fragile environment and easily damaged beyond repair. And, as we all know the environment in which we live has an impact on everything we do. These developers don't live where they want to erect these solar panels. We do. They won't have to live with the impact that these panels will have on our community. We won't benefit from these panels. We will have to live with the consequences of the developers actions.
