This is one proposal for a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project of four in the local area, applied for separately in an attempt by the developer to shield the sheer size of the project, together covering 10000 of good arable farmland (30 times larger than Hyde park) lost for 40 years. As they are sited only a few miles from each other they should be considered as one industrial development on a huge green field site. A concern is that Lincolnshire is the breadbasket of the UK and food security could be compromised if projects like this of farmland are allowed to continue especially as it is some distance from the main populus. A further consideration would be the effect on unemployment and skill loss in the agricultural industry of such a plan, where are these people going to find work. This development will result in 2000 acres of 4.5m high solar panels on lowland of a relatively flat landscape, it might be considered that the effect of this will be a domination of the landscape with no possibility of blending it in especially when the sun is glaring from them. They will be highly visible from the B1398 Lincoln cliff road, which is designated an area of great landscape value, this of course would be lost and effect the walks and enjoyment of the countryside. It cannot be acceptable to locate high-capacity battery storage banks close to the village of Marton using untested technology from manufactured from dubious quality sources. This project is in 3 parcels of land some miles from the grid connection which will result in high levels of unnecessary civil engineering projects highlighting the lack of planning and consideration over profit. This combined 10000 acre building site will result in a 4-year development and will have catastrophic effect on the local communities, natural habitats and mental health and wellbeing of the population. Have the developer’s discussed issues like using brownfield sites instead, panel heights, solar glare, battery storage and safety as the fire brigade do not want to be involved, capacity when most needed in the winter months with poor sun index equating to a very inefficient use of prime arable food producing land and short days limiting useful output, flood risk mitigation?
