This scheme, the nearest part of which is proposed to be approx 1/2 mile from my home, will destroy the visual aspects of the countryside in which I take daily walks. It will generate very significant extra traffic, which, like most tradespeople, have scant regard for anyone but themselves. It will act like a magnet to thieves and their ilk before, during and after construction. It will rob the county of perfectly good farmland, which should be used to grow food. Its impact on electricity generation nationally will be minimal, and only during daylight hours. It is likely to alter the microclimate around Saxilby, never mind the environmental and ecological impact of such a huge scheme. It will adversely affect the values of our properties, since people will not want to live close to such a monstrosity. The power generated will be of minimal benefit compared to the loss in food production incurred due to the loss of valuable, productive farmland.
