I strongly oppose the development of productive agricultural farm land, not just in Lincolnshire (known as the breadbasket of the country) but anywhere. In a time where food security is a huge issue, to even think about taking over massive swathes of farmland for solar panels - the least efficient and reliable of all renewables I believe - is absolutely crazy. It seems very much like the developers are trying to cover up the incredible scale of the development by splitting the proposed area between Lincoln and Gainsborough into 4 applications, where the reality is that being side by side, the overall industrialisation will cover 10,000 acres. This will make this solar industrial development THE 3RD LARGEST IN THE WORLD..!! This will decimate the rurality of the area and the protected views from the Lincoln Edge out across the Till Vale. In such an unstable world, where other, hotter countries such as Australia are turning away from solar because of it's unreliability, inefficiency and in truth, huge carbon footprint, It would be criminal to ruin the lives of those living in the 30 villages in this farming community for something that will not be the future of energy in this or any other country, and will ruin the land for generations to come.
