The scale of this project and impact on the natural environment is very concerning. Surrounding rural communities with a landscape of solar panels that have consequences for wildlife, changes the landscape visually and to no local benefit, arguably places profit before people. It's certainly not about renewable sources of power. Not just this application, but other companies seeking to reach this stage for different sites around villages in this area. We have PV panels on our property, so my objection is not against generating energy. No doubt the farmers involved will benefit financially, however with the only other beneficiary the company and its employees this is a limited number of people and profit to sacrifice everyone else for? The contribution to energy security in our National infrastructure hardly seems credible, or a sacrifice these communities should be forced to make, given the behaviour of both generator and supplier in the current energy crisis.
