Having looked at the scientific and academic information regarding the risks of siting large grid-scale battery energy storage systems close to residential properties presents a risk to life and property which the proposals by the developer cannot minimise to an acceptable level. This is unfortunate as I am pro the use of solar power, but there needs to be full independent, rigorous and academic scrutiny which is not currently the case.
