Although I appreciate the need for renewable energy, the need for food crops is greater than the option of covering thousands of hectares of very productive land with PV panels. They will reduce photosynthesis greatly, CO2 uptake reduced.. more greenhouse gas will become obsolete within a few years ,posing big disposal issues, as in Australia already detrimental to many wildlife populations eg skylarks, the signature species in this area, lapwings should be on all roof space, compulsory on all new-build. then on brown-field sites collateral damage to ecosystems, amenity value/walkers on green lanes, mainly from cabling NOT a suitable location
