I am against the proposed solar farms. They will be detrimental to not only the health and well being of the people who live and work in these rural communities but also the wildlife that inhabits the fields and hedgerows. The very rural road structures that we have between all the villages in the area cannot withstand the large amounts of construction traffic that would be needed to build and service the solar farms. Vast swaths of this land is very good agricultural growing land and food production security is vital to our nation. Solar panels could be installed on all industrial buildings and brown field sites. It is my understanding that the panels will be made in places like China and shipped here leaving a very large carbon footprint. Our farm land should be used for food production not Solar Panels, there are plenty of brown fields sites and roof tops that could be used. The large panels and the high security fencing will ruin the countryside both for the wildlife and the people who live in all the villages within the solar farms ! The rural roads are not suitable for all the extra construction traffic. Our properties will be devalued and the mental health of people in these areas could be seriously put at risk .
