I am concerned about the cumulative effect West Burton solar project will contribute to the other large solar projects proposed for this area. The scale of this industrial destruction of the farmland in our rural landscape is frightening for local residents. This land should continue to be used for producing crops and feeding the nation. Whilst I support green energy production in principle, the scale of these vast proposals in West Lindsey concentrated around Stow is quite out of all proportion and benefits only the outside businesses planning to make huge profits. The local community will be seriously inconvenienced during the construction process, wildlife habitats and natural surroundings will be destroyed forever. I therefore strongly oppose this project proposal and implore the planning authorities involved to refuse it on the grounds of the vast scale of industrialisation of this area.
