- Our property is extremely susceptible to flooding due to the impact of the surface water from several fields converging into the drainage ditches adjacent to us. We have been flooded three times and very close to being flooded several times. When the ditches are correctly maintained we can avoid the issue. However, the Solar installation works and subsequent lack of soil cultivation will lead to a vastly increased risk of flooding unless substantial additional drainage is put in place to mitigate the inevitable compacting of the soil This is a serious matter that needs to be addressed ASAP. We cannot accept ANY additional surface water in the existing drainage ditches and culverts around our property. 2. As it stands now the proposed set of panels will be very close, too close! to our boundary. We will practically be sitting below the backs of the panels looking directly at them. Your community leaflet states a minimum of 4.2m inside the proposed boundary. In our case, this would be too small a distance. The panel rows need to start much further up the field. 3. In the proposal there appears to be a substation that is very close to our property. If it is a substation, will it be making a noise even a low noise, if so, it should be moved much further down the field away from our property.
