I strongly oppose this scheme. There has been inadequate consultation with the communities involved. If approved, there will be significant loss of productive agricultural land. the panels and batteries will be highly visible from near and far, especially from the north.Prized walking areas and paths will be lost, with significant adverse impact on endangered species. The latest revelation of the 116 batteries and attendant water storage and security will carry a huge health and environmental risk ( especially given proximity of dwellings ). The risk of fire and contamination to ground and water tables , as well as to citizens' health , pose wholly unacceptable threats. The building of the scheme will result in the closure of narrow but vital roads into and out of Aldington, creating huge problems for the school, and access to emergency services and hospitals. Together with the development of Otterpool newtown and the expansion of the converter station will make life here Hell on Earth.
