  1. Inappropriate scale: proposal covers the majority of the non-built parish that is not either within the National landscape of part of the EDF solar scheme. 2. Inadequate consultation: in particular re scale and locations of batteries and associated infrastructure and re impact on amenity of PRoWs for users. 3. Inattention to impact on biodiversity: in particular on skylarks, yellowhammers, brown hares and badgers. 4. Inattention to existing flood risk across the site: this would be exacerbated by run-off from panels. 5. Inattention to impact on actual and potential archaeological sites: in particular Saxon and Roman. 6. Lack of consideration of substantial harmful visual impact on the long-distance views to and from the Aldington Ridgeline: in particular beteween Aldington and Mersham and Aldington and the North Downs (National Landscape). 7. Totally inadequate 'mitigation': replacement of long-distance rural views with an industrial landscape for at least 40 years is not mitgated by tall trees and hedgerows, which force road users to traverse long, green tunnels, with no views at all, and users of the many PRoWs to walk hemmed in between high fences and tall hedges, instead of the present rural scene. 8, Inadequate explanation of what alternatives have been to considered to Aldington's undulating site: the only consideration appears to have been proximity to the converter station.
