· That 116 battery containers in the fields surrounding our villages will cause unnecessary industrialisation of the countryside · The visual impact of solar panels and batteries on the Aldington Ridge will destroy our rural environment and change the very essence of where we live · The fire and contamination risk associated with the batteries · That the scheme will result in the loss of habitat for protected species such as skylark · That centuries old footpaths will be closed or diverted · That the scheme will cause traffic chaos in the village and increase the risk of serious accidents at Smeeth Crossroads
