I am in favour of this application. Creating large scale solar installation will create a large quantity of sustainable energy over the long-term with only modest impact. The comparison with the neighbouring Drax power station which completely overshadows Camblesforth and can be seen over much of Selby district is stark. The low height will mean the panels will be visible only in limited places (Drax is also incomparably more ugly.) The replacement of industrial agricultural land with energy generation seems reasonable. Selby is predominantly agricultural land, and this would make relatively only a small decrease, whilst the area will in fact see an increase in untreated grassland, since the land beneath the panels will no longer be subject to frequent chemical treatment. I strongly support the planting of additional woodland as part of this application
