I oppose this planning application due to its negative impact on the local environment, landscape, and community. The installation of large ground-mounted solar arrays and associated infrastructure will significantly alter the character of the area, potentially disrupting local wildlife habitats and biodiversity. Additionally, such a large-scale development will lead to increased traffic and noise during construction and maintenance, negatively affecting the quality of life for residents. While renewable energy is important, this proposal lacks sufficient consideration for alternative locations that would have less environmental and community impact. We are a small village in a semi-rural location, and this development will fundamentally alter the character of the area. The natural beauty and open landscapes that define our community will be disrupted by the large-scale industrial appearance of the solar arrays and associated infrastructure. This change will not only impact the scenic value that attracts both residents and visitors but also diminish the peaceful, rural atmosphere that makes the village a desirable place to live. The sense of sanctuary and escape from urbanization, which many people cherish here, will be significantly eroded, potentially affecting property values and the overall appeal of the village.
