I am a retired science teacher, headteacher and live within 300 metres of the proposed new line. The underground section is in clear view from my windows. I recently gave up being Chair of Little Cornard Parish Council but continue to advise the council on National Grid matters. I am a member of an informal group of representatives of Babergh parishes affected by the new proposals. This group lobbies National Grid. I am keen to ensure minimum disruption to our Parish. I wish to ensure maximum opportunities are taken to improve environmental support in support of our local Neighbourhood Plan. I have been a keen advocate of an improved offshore grid
