The acquistion of the verges in UN72 (Little Cornard) removes access to the fields for myself (owner and farmer). This land is being requested as an environmental mitigation, but all suggested modifications to this vergeline are not suitable. Additons of hedgerows, trees or fencing (alternative to what is currently present) would remove access for farming machinary to the field, impacting my harvest. Large root systems planted here would disrupt the underground network in place for the mast on Upper Road. There is already a planting of wildflowers for the wildlife/soil health along the fenceline, which needs to be farmer led regarding the needs of the field. This is not a suitable stretch of land for the purposes of National Grid, and I ask you to reconsider.
