The noise of the construction and the duration will be highly distributive to our living. We have livestock and equines on our property which will be negatively affected. We have attended village meetings and National grid meetings. At these meeting national grid say one thing and then go directly against what they have said and do something else. For example they said the route they previously decided upon ran far closer to Alphamstone. At the National grid meetings we were told this was the route and was open to mild “tweaking” but not total change. However one land owner disapproved of them going over his land and all of a sudden the whole route has been thrown into our direction with no explanation as to why. We have a very young family and chose to live in this beautiful peaceful countryside to raise our children, not to be bringing them up with noise, dust and traffic related to new plans proposed by national grid.
