I have no specialist training in road planning or architecture or anything like that. But I am an engineer, albeit in electronics (and to a lesser extent mechanics), as well as just someone who appreciates history, and the environment, and from all those viewpoints it's obvious that this entire project is just wrong. It will destroy heritage and evidence that will help us understand our origins better, and destroy substantial natural habitats for all kinds of flora and fauna, but not only that, I think it will actually exacerbate the problem it's trying to solve. I don't think that's the real aim of this project, actually. I think someone somewhere stands to make a lot of money from this, and to hell with the consequences. Like a lot more things these days under the current administration. This so-called road "improvement" is nothing of the kind, and it should be halted immediately.
