I object to the incursions of the roads that are proposed for this site of international significance.

To build roads within the curtilage of such an important monument would be problem enough but to to dig tunnel entrances, deep cuttings and build roads within the boundaries of the whole site is desecration beyond belief. Previous incursions were made in ignorance of the significance of the site. Now we know the extent of the full site we must protect it for future generations and the discoveries they will make.

If they were to go ahead, these works could not be undone. There are discoveries to be made by archaeologists on the outskirts of the site , which has been inhabited for up to 5,000 years and which would be lost forever, History will never forgive the planners should consent be given for the shorter tunnels and associated works proposed.
