I am simply appalled to find that you risk such potential damage of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Once done, the potential for irreparable damage to the substrata of one of our country's most important archeological treasures can never be un-done. Nothing must be allowed to decimate this ancient site for future generations who may come to this landmark with scientific information gathering technology, as yet unknown.

In terms of its real cultural significance ... this site has stood by a road or thoroughfare for thousands of years, seen by millions passing by, and must not become some Disney Theme Park, hidden from view by all, except those willing to pay outrageous entrance fees. Our cultural heritage belongs to everyone and as such must be openly on show.
