I am deeply concerned and troubled by the whole process. The area in and around Stonehenge has so much rich and vital history yet to be uncovered. I’m concerned that authorities are quite happy to just have Stonehenge as it is and purely as a tourist attraction and not encourage further excavation and therefore encourage further answers from the past. When are we, as humans going to just stop... just stop destroying the past just because so called progress wants to be made, not to mention money. Making and saving money at all costs. Stop building around and altering the landscape to the detriment of our history. Preserve the area and allow research. It must come first. Our history should be more important and preserved, with infrastructure moved away even if it does cost more. Learn from history. Stop obliterating the past.
