Stonehenge and its surrounds are not only historically incredibly important, but also one of the most loved and visited attractions on earth. This should mean that protecting the entire are should be an absolute certainty.
New roads are not needed in areas such as this. Instead, public transport should be improved and local railway lines reopened where possible.
Letting this road be built sets a dangerous precedent that as a country we don't care about the natural environment and our rich history.
