I am totally opposed to this development it will lead to damage to a site which is part of our cultural and national heritage. It will result in the lost of a setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’ remains which will be lost for ever and all to improve the site for the benefit of tourists. We should not be encouraging the use of cars to further damage our environment. I understand UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form. Please call a halt to this proposed road it will not benefit anyone other than tourists we should be encouraging alternative ways of viewing the site and not trough the use of a car. Yes improve the highway for non-tourist traffic using 303 but not at cost of this world heritage site and all it represents in term sof our history.
