I wish to clearly state my objection the pending threat to the World Heritage Site known as Stonehenge. I cannot allow any threat to this truly unique and mysterious wonder which has long held profound fascination for many generations of people. My main objections are as follows; the development would mean increased noise from faster traffic, this would lead to disturbance of rare bird species such as Stone Curlew and Great Bustard. This would also result in a loss of view from the road and a need to pay to see the stones in future. There is clearly a complete lack of alternative options to the current plan for the WHS. There is also concern about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting. UNESCO advisers have stated that the scheme should not go ahead in its present form. All in all the plan would result in irreparable damage to this stunning WHS, its surroundings, including its archaeology, this has been described by UNESCO as a "landscape without parallel".
