With this plan there will be irrevocable damage to a site of international importance which will prevent future generations from truly understanding its significance and meaning. Far better to wait until an alternative plan can be agreed which will really protect the site, however long it may take to find that solution. Commerce and convenience must not be allowed to take precedence over the heritage of future generations, not just from the UK but the world.
