I have been to Stonehenge and drove by it several times. Also I am a science person with some experience at UNESCO sites. In sites like Stonehenge you really have no idea the implications of disturbing the integrity of the site. With new information and finds occurring you cannot predict how this would impact the long term affects. The world is fascinated by this site and vehicles moving under the site would have affects that are unknown. As an American who has traveled the world to important archaeological sites like a few in Ohio that are being considered for UNESCO status I am against any major impacts that cannot be assured no damage to a unique site.
