Stonehenge is a very important site, both to me personally and to the nation as a whole.
UNESCO have said that the plan should not go ahead in its current mode, and have described the World Heritage Site as a 'landscape without parallel".
There are major cultural and environmental concerns, including the threat to rare bird species at the site; the increase in traffic noise; the deprivation of the sight of the stones from the road and the fact that one will have to pay to see them in the future; and the possible damage to the Blick Mead mesolithic site.
Why are there no alternative plans in the consultation?
