Stonehenge is a world heritage site and far too much damage has been done to it already. It should be declared a NO BUILD zone and that should include the government. To excavate in that area is to destroy what our predecessors spent a great deal of effort to build over many years and was obviously placed in that location for a very important reason, which, while theories abound, is still unknown as evidence is still being discovered. Our politicians would be foolhardy to interfere with it.
