I would like to say that whilst I can see the present road A303 is consistently congested, I feel it is really unrespectful on a deep and ancient level to tunnel underneath the stones at Stonehenge. It is a world heritage site that has suffered more, recently by the restricting access even . Building larger roads invites more teaffic. In the short term it appears to be a solution. However, in the long term we need to address climate change and alternative means of transportation- possibly this toute barred yo karge vehucles and the like. It is a sacred pkace that needs to be keft alone. I feel tunneling will actuslly destroy the spirit of the place. Its charm comes from being isklated abd untouched by modern man.
