The A303 Stonehenge Expressway would create irreparable damage to the WHS, Which UNESCO describes as a ‘landscape without parallel’. If UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form, this should be reason enough in itself. The Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting could be damaged. We need to hear about alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site. There would be increased noise from faster traffic. The road would affect the energetic function of the site which harmonises the environs.
