I am concerned that irreparable damage will be caused to the WHS, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’, particularly given that UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form I am aware of early damage to the Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting, and feel further irreparable damaged could be caused here also. Other points are: • Lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site • Loss of the view from the road and need to pay to see the Stones in future • Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard) • Increased noise and vibration from faster traffic, and a lack of control on the loaded weight of vehicles.

This is a treasured site and needs full protection. • There is a high risk of permanent damage to the World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting. • UNESCO's advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form. • Real and valid concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting. • Singular lack of alternative options that would not damage the World Heritage Site in the consultation. • Loss of view from the road and need to pay to see the Stones. • Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard) • increased noise & vibration from more and faster traffic, which could lead to long term damage.
