This plan is wanton vandalism on a monumental scale, build the road as far away as possible, at least 2 miles from the site.

Whilst not by any means the oldest of our stone circles, it is probably the most iconic and best known. These structures were built by very ingenious people working at the limit of their technology, there are many older sites in Scotland but this one has a special appeal being in the South and nearly complete. It MUST be preserved.

This is an important World Heritage site, and it is total vandalism to even consider building this road anywhere near such a site. Shame on you! Abandon this mad scheme now.
