I object to this plan due to the following reasons: Irreparable damage to the WHS, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’; UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form; Concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting; Lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site; Loss of the view from the road and need to pay to see the Stones in future; Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard). This site is of both National & Worldwide importance & ignores UNESCO's significant opinions on the damage to this unique landscape. Once damaged it can NEVER be recovered - surely developing a scheme that will NOT do any damage should be the priority here?!
