I am very concerned about the proposed scheme which would do damage to our past and to a world heritage site of great significance to this country. Construction will destroy archeology and cause damage - as Unesco has said. This landscape must be respected as a whole landscape that has existed for thousands of years, including Stonehenge of course but not limited to it. All the archeology around Stonehenge is of great importance too, and the construction process will cause irreparable losses when what we should do is preserve it for the future. It sets a very bad precedent, in that it will put development over and above a landscape of world significance. We can't be seen by the world to treat our past like this.
