This is a very sensitive site; unless it is handled very sensitively a lot of our past will be destroyed. A team of archeologists should oversee all work, and have the power to stop any further work. No one knows what might be unearthed. A convoy of lorries will probably have to come from the Eastern Mendip quarries: this will be very disruptive to those living in the Eastern Mendips, and further destroy Mendip.
