Stonehenge was given to the nation. The tunnel will prevent the people from seeing Stonehenge unless they pay English Heritage £20. I feel EH have hijacked our national monument for monetary gain. Every time I pass Stonehenge and see it, it lifts my spirits. When I was a child we could climb on it. Of course that would not be practical now. There would also be damage to archaeological sites and the setting, the tunnel and roundabouts and flyovers would look inappropriate in our beautiful landscape. The cost of tunnels etc would be very expensive, far better, simpler and cheaper would be to widen the 303 which would be a less intrusive and controversial solution.
