1 Concern about the visual impact of an east-west bridge or flyover at the Countess roundabout.

2 Concern about the likely increase in traffic noise from traffic on the A303 in the vicinity of a new Countess flyover. An earlier request for existing noise levels has not produced any data.

I have two principal concerns:

That the 'flyover' at Countess roundabout will be discreet and graceful in its construction and blend in with its surroundings.

That measures will be taken to minimise traffic noise on the flyover and its approaches. Existing traffic noise is noticeable and a nuisance to those living near the roundabout. The raised road, faster traffic and greater traffic density could well make the noise levels mush worse.
