I am deeply upset that the only proposal for improvement of the Stonehenge area road system will pass so close to the monument and threatens the peaceful enjoyment of the site. I believe that another route might have been more suitable, but no alternative is offered. It seems extraordinary that the current proposal should be opposed by UNESCO who have rightly judged Stonehenge to be a 'World Heritage Site', and state that the proposed development so close to the stones should not go ahead in its present form.
faithfully
