I have objections to tbe proposed scheme for the following reasons:
- Stonehenge is a UNESCO registered World Heritage site and this road scheme compromises the integrity of the area in many ways, being an act of ‘vandalism’ in my opinion
- The site is of religious significance to Druids. Again the scheme compromises the integrity of the site for religious worship
- Tunneling could create structural problems for this ancient monument which could compromise its physical stability and cause land slippage and subsidence.
Stonehenge is an exceptional world heritage site. Proposed tunnelling and road. Expansions constitute desecration. This scheme has been widely criticised by archeologists amd other experts and rightly so.
