I believe that a short tunnel at Stonehenge including cuttings and a dual carriageway within the World Heritage Site would cause severe damage to the Stonehenge landscape, which is recognised by UNESCO, and therefore this scheme should not proceed. There is undoubtably much undiscovered archaeology within the Stonehenge landscape, and this scheme threatens to destroy it. My preference would be for traffic reduction measures to make this unnecessary, or a bypass outside the World Heritage Site. The consultation that was made didn't have any option presented that would not damage the world heritage site, and as such, was a sham and a tick-box exercise.
