I am very concerned that this construction will cause damage which can never be undone to the archaeology of what is a WORLD a heritage site. This is not a site which the UK alone should be allowed to disrupt. It is a site recognised to be of WORLD importance. Unesco have said that the scheme should not go ahead in its current form. You really must, for the sake of future generations and knowledge, pay attention to their advice.
I visited Stonehenge as a child when it was possible to wander close to the stones and it was a wondrous experience. But this was stopped in order to protect them. By undertaking this construction the U.K. will effectively undermine all that has gone before to protect this ancient holy site. It will do what hundreds of generations of Britons have understood should not be done - damage what is clearly a very precious area. So much heritage has been destroyed in our country since the 20th century. Please don’t add to that demage and destruction. There are also serious concerns that the construction will damage Blick Mead Mesolithic site.

As planning inspectors you must insist that alternative options are brought forward which will avoid in damage to this very very precious World Heritage Site .

Please don’t bow down once again to this drive for ‘growth’ and improvement. Consider instead the need for protection of bothebthe incredibly valuable historic site and considered the needs of the rare bird species which will also be disturbed by the construction.

I am 62 and I am ashamed to say that I have lived through the most destructive years of humankind. Please don’t add to our shame.
